Meet The BW Team
Bollywood West was established in 2015 and has been teaching adults and children Bollywood & Bhangra Dance ever since. We are a family operated team blessed with talented & passionate individuals comprised of professional dance instructors, costume designers, photographers, music director, video editor, an artistic director, graphic designers and more.
Vandana Majithia

Founder & C.E.O
Vandana Majithia, began dancing at a young age. Her background includes a variety of Indian folk, Bollywood, Bhangra, classical and fusion dance.
Being involved with reputable & established dance academies, she gained experience performing in dance dramas & large stage productions, dance competitions, community shows and events. In doing so, Vandana performed in front of large audiences at prestigious venues.

A mother of two young daughters and living in Milton, Ontario, she felt the need for them to experience what she had when she was a child. The rush of being on stage, gaining confidence, learning dance & culture, while being part of the community. Thus, Bollywood West was born!
Vandana is deeply passionate & enthusiastic about teaching dance & building confidence in her students. She teaches both of our Bollywood & Bhangra classes to all age groups.

Kulbir Sarl

Bhangra Instructor
Punjabi art and music has been an integral part of Kulbir’s upbringing, at 4-years old, he began playing tabla and was exposed to traditional Punjabi music. Naturally, Bhangra entered his bloodstream at a young age and he has been dancing ever since.
​
His early experiences in novice Bhangra dance groups landed him a spot on a professional Bhangra team in University which helped hone his unique style in traditional and contemporary Bhangra. Kulbir is a talented tabla and dhol player and incorporates live dhol music when teaching Bhangra.
​
Based on Kulbir’s experiences, he believes Bhangra empowers self-confidence, fosters teamwork and improves personal fitness. Kulbir strives to incorporate these aspects into every class all while having fun and experiencing Punjabi culture.
Reena Patel

Bollywood Instructor
Reena Patel began her dancing journey at a young age trained in Odissi and traditional folk dancing.
She's participated in various dance dramas, stage shows and trained and choreographed age groups from 6-13 years old.
Her experience has come from being part of various dance schools, participating in events, competitions and from teaching privately for weddings or parties.
As instructor of Bollywood West now, Reena loves sharing her love & passion for dance and passing on all her learnings to the next generation and loves to have fun!
